Not A Teach Day...YET!

But I have made a good start on one of my other goals. I've made a committment to do a project or two for Romance Junkies, which I'll post about when I have it set. Suffice it to say, I'm very excited and glad that Cat has the opportunity available!

I'm hoping to get teach day restarted next week but for now, I'll be working on my other goal of writing and working. Then it's tax time. Those things WILL get done, daggnabbit.

A friend at eHQ, during a really great craft discussion on the Writing Blaze page said something particularly stirring about keeping the story from lagging and maintaining the tension by working on the characters fears. It's not something new--Internal conflict, "Trample, Trample, Trample" after all--but it's something I deeply needed reminding of. They're doing some writing exercises and some Golden Hearts valuing, lol. (I'd comment, but as I don't do contests for the very reasons they're mulling, I'm not really a voice of any knowledge.) Might be worth peeking in for you.

As for me, I'll head over there a bit later. I'm going to go poke my hero in the eyes a few times. :)

Smooches,
Dee

Poke him in the eyes? Ouch!

But, hey, I'm all for torturing our characters... ;-)

(And I want to catch up with you and chat soon - I'm working on it!)

Oooh, and what are you planning on teaching next week? *rubs hands in anticipation*

Don't forget to pat his butt after you poke him in the eye. They like the reassurance. ;)

Wishing you luck (almost typo'd that as lick). :D

LOL, oh okay, not the eyes. LOL! I'm going to make the scariest thing that can happen to him happen when it means the most. hee hee! Really looking forward to it!

Lorie, lol, I NEVER forget to pat his butt. :) As for what I'm teaching...hmmm, don't know yet. Going to go through my notebooks. :) Got any requests?

Phew, sheesh, I was beginning to think this blog didn't like me.

Hmm. Requests, I think I shall have to ponder that. you have anything you don't want me to ask?

I have a lot of things I don't want you to ask, lol. But if we're talking craft, lol...nah, go for it. :)

Dee,

This blog is freaking me out! (g) I kept clicking comments and nothing would happen, then I went down a bit and found the other place. LOL!

Dee - I can't believe it! I got through! I had a comment - a real one too, but.. I have forgotten it now. And first I want to say thank you -- I see where I'm suppose to click now - :-) pretty handy when it says click here. But I tried earlier and no matter what I did it would not let me comment. 'shrug' maybe it just didn't like me earlier. :-) I can't recall what I had orginally meant to say - so I'll just say Hi! :-) Cole (Oh, and I do like how the comments show up below - just so you know)

ROFL, Tanya! I'm sorry! I just love this format of not needing to load a new page. :) It takes a wee bit of getting used to, I know, lol.

Cole--yes, that was a PC/Mac problem. I had a table button and on Macs it worked just fine. On PCs...no dice. Lorie let me know and we tried to make it work, but again...no dice. I might try again from my sister's PC, but once we realized the link wouldn't work, we reverted. :)

Interestingly, I just found out that PCs weren't seeing my sidebar, either. Not sure how long that was going on, but it should be fixed too. :)
