Grumble...

I'm not used to fighting with my writing too much. Not that I haven't had rough spots. Or that I haven't pushed the damn book away and done something else. Often times, writing can be a battle and I admit, it's hard to get back in after such a long bloody time off. But I spent hours trying to get back into my groove...and ended up writing a comedy scene for a serious book. Worse, it was slapstick. I HATE slapstick, and yet, I had my resolute and reluctant hero accidentally tear off the bottom of my heroine's dress with his truck door and throw water on her silk dress when she accidentally lit her sleeve on fire.

Have I lost my mind?

Apparently.

Thankfully, I've been blessed with a delete button.

Oy ve....

Dee! Don't be so hard on yourself! Sometimes entering a bit of humor can be awesome! Besides you were obviously in a quirky mood and it relayed to your writing. This can sometimes be one's best writing as it was done in passion!

So have fun and don't hit that delete button too soon. If nothing else save it for maybe a different book someday!

I tried to write Saturday and just got frustrated. So I said the hell with it and just goofed off the entire weekend. (g)

LOL, Tanya! As you can see, I instead played with my website...and blog. As it turned out, much of my work was inaccessible, so I took time to play. :)

Aww, thanks Cole. I almost never fully delete anything. I've usually got a cut file an inch thick. But still, that was dribble. Worse. LOL!

Smooches,

I'm so glad to see you well enough to get back on your blog and writing. Don't sweat the slapstick (some of it might be useful) - and don't beat up the muse just yet. You may be writing what's on your mind or the only thing that keeps you from 'the dark side' when you write humor. Just roll with it, sweetie.

Thanks Lyn, I'm blaming my horrific hormones, which currently have me eating chips at a nearly illegal rate! I got started messing with my blog and decided to do that instead of post today, lol!

Feeling better, I think, provided I stay on my butt. :)

Dee! I just love this new color! The overall black for some reason was a bit much. This... is great!!! I really, really like it! Cole

Thanks Cole! It does feel a bit warmer, don't it? I was afraid the black bar was a bit severe, but I can totaly play with this now, lol. Make some backgrounds or something. :) I have to make a header still, but this will do until I have another weekend with time. :)

Smooches!
